Reunion 2009 and Facebook!
You may have noticed that Virginia Wesleyan has been helping alumni connect through Facebook. Virginia Wesleyan Alumni have a presence in the form of a group page and personal page. In the past year, over 900 alumni have made connections to "Virginia Wesleyan" and over 300 alumni have become fans of "Virginia Wesleyan Alumni." This year the Alumni Association is trying to expand on their success with social networking by promoting Reunion 2009 to its Facebook friends and fans. According to Lisa Black, alumni director, Reunion 2009 will focus on all alumni coming back to campus and will be promoted through Facebook, College e-mails and eNews, the electronic newsletter. All alumni are welcome to organize a reunion group (for example New Jersey soccer alumni, alumni cheerleaders, or Gum Hall residents from 1987-1991). Interested alumni should contact the Alumni Relations Office at alumni@vwc.edu or 757.455.2115 to register and secure a reserved space at the alumni tailgate on Saturday, Oct. 3!
