Homecoming Parade
2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. along sidewalk that connects Bray Village (I) to Godwin Hall and the Batten Center.  Contests, student performances and skits will take place in front of the Library steps.  Contests for students include skits, most creative, most spirit, and best overall.  Also back, by popular demand will be the Faculty-Staff pet parade.

Oktoberfest Dinner
5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Boyd Dining Center
Enjoy German food and music, provided by DJ Eric Emerson’92 at this grand VWC tradition.

Volleyball vs. Hollins
6:00 p.m. in the Convocation Center of Jane P. Batten Student Center

Alumni Social
7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Shore Break.  All beverages for VWC alumni will be $4.00 and appetizers will be provided!

Fall Production  -- The 39 Steps
7:30 p.m. in Hofheimer Theater
Adapted by Patrick Barlow.  From the novel by John Buchan.  From the movie by Alfred Hitchcock.  A man with a boring life meets a woman with a thick accent who says she is a spy. When he takes her home, she is murdered.  Soon, a mysterious organization called "The 39 Steps" is hot on the man's trail in a nationwide manhunt that climaxes in a death-defying finale!  Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python and you get a comedic tour-de-force sure to delight anyone who loves the magic of theatre.

While your students are preparing for a fun-filled day of Homecoming festivities, enjoy a continental breakfast and morning cocktails hosted by President Billy Greer and the VWC Parents’ Council.

    Drop by to see them demonstrating glass blowing, an exciting new course made possible through our collaboration with the Chrysler Museum of Art.
