The Luck of the Marlins
Coach Mat Littleton is partnering with the Office of Alumni Relations to host The Luck of the Marlins, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends of the College coming together to run in the Shamrock half- or full marathon on Sunday, March 20, 2011. Interested participants are encouraged to register for the Shamrock no later than December 1 to secure a spot in the race. Come out in your best Marlin spirit gear and meet at the VWC tent (located near the finish line) after the race. Contact Coach Mat Littleton with questions about The Luck of the Marlins at 757.233.8704.
Virginia Wesleyan is not responsible for planning or registration of the race. Questions and concerns regarding the Shamrock should be directed towards race officials.
Three Alumni Awards Presented
The Virginia Wesleyan Alumni Association hosted an alumni reception and awards presentation on Saturday, Oct. 9 in the Hofheimer Library. During the event, alumni learned about the College’s history of Community Service with a presentation from Diane Hotaling, director of Community Service. Evidence of Virginia Wesleyan’s strong commitment to community service was reflected in this year’s three award winners who all have service oriented careers: Heather Campbell ’04, Bruce Goodson ’79 and Tracy Keller ’04.
