Loss of former Alumni Director and fellow Alumnus
Kevin Lee Clary '84 died unexpectedly at his home, Friday, Oct. 10, 2008. Kevin was a Virginia Wesleyan alumnus and former employee of the College, serving as the director of alumni relations for nine years and prior to that position as an admissions counselor. Kevin will be remembered fondly. To honor Kevin's memory, the Kevin L. Clary Endowed Scholarship has been established and will benefit Virginia Wesleyan students. Friends may make a contribution to Kevin L. Clary Endowed Scholarship, Virginia Wesleyan College, 1584 Wesleyan Drive, Norfolk, VA 23502. Gifts will be matched by the Frank E. Brown Challenge. 9th Annual Alumni Association
Scholarship Auction & Party
This year’s Scholaship Auction & Party will be held on Friday, April 24, 2009. Last year's event took the Legacy Endowed Scholarship above $100,000. Over 120 Virginia Wesleyan alumni, family and friends enjoyed a night of great food, elegant music and a terrific view while purchasing auction items. Come join us at the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts. Proceeds from this event benefit the Alumni Association’s Legacy Endowed Scholarship, which is awarded each year to a child of a VWC alumnus. Tickets will be on sale soon!

Alumni Awards: Take the time to nominate a deserving Alumnus!
The Alumni Association is seeking nominations for the Alumni Awards Program. Alumni can self-nominate or may be nominated by someone else for three awards: The Distinguished Alumnus Award, the Alumni Service Award and the GOLD Award. For more details, click here. Nominations are due by March 15, 2009.
