Janice joined the VWC College Communications Department in August 2006. Ms. Marshall-Pittman manages print production schedules, print specifications, mailing services and internal budgets, overseeing requests for College Communications bids, customer quotations, collateral marketing communications and purchase orders for vendors. Janice also consults and assists with media buys and maintains positive working partnerships with a wide variety of vendors in the advertising and printing industries.
Ms. Marshall-Pittman manages the marketing production for projects (i.e. the college course catalog, campus directory, athletic score signs and commencement program, etc.) and provides research for such projects campus wide. She creates, designs, schedules and manages the College's Venus 1500 electronic sign. She is responsible for Web content updates, specifically the online directory and calendar of events. Janice is the primary College Communications photographer and art director of photography. She also provides photography assistance for special college events.
Janice is a native of Richmond, Virginia; although Norfolk has been her home since 1995. She is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a B.A. in Communication Arts & Design. Janice has over twenty years of experience in advertising, marketing, graphic design, photography and the commercial printing industry both locally and regionally.
Ms. Marshall-Pittman is married and the proud mother of two daughters. Her greatest joys are times she spends with her family, reading a good book, and soaking up the sun at the beach!
