Henry Clay Hofheimer II Library
Renovations and improvements will transform the library into a hub for study, research and relaxation for students and faculty by:
- Expanding the library collection by 50,000 volumes.
- Adding new floor space for student use by enclosing the area under the library's second floor overhang and increasing shelving to accommodate new volumes.
- Creating comfortable, well-lit study areas;
- Adding a 24-hour study hall, and

Platinum Green Laboratory Science Building
The College plans to build a LEED-certified, platinum green laboratory science building—the only one at a liberal arts college in the world. This building will be the model for how science facilities will be built and how science will be taught in the future. The science building is an experiment itself, a living laboratory of sustainable design, in which students will study, conduct research, interact and participate in measuring, monitoring, and re-calibrating the performance of the green elements of the facility over a 40-year period.

Lacrosse/Field Hockey Stadium
This stadium has been planned to have synthetic field turf, lights, 1,000 seats, press box, dressing rooms, concessions, parking, and a fence. The stadium will place the College in a position to recruit the top lacrosse and field hockey athletes, to host NCAA playoff games in those two sports and in soccer and build an intramural program that will significantly aid the College in fostering an environment for improved student recruitment and retention.

Modernize campus facilities
Restoring and modernizing campus facilities is also a priority to the College. It is essential that the college preserves its assets and establishes an exceptional environment for teaching, learning and research by investing in its campus infrastructure. Some of the needs include:
- Modernizing Bray Village and Village II
- Building the base and surfacing four parking lots;
- Making critical repairs in classroom buildings;
- Making building improvements to serve persons with disabilities and to conform with ADA requirements;
- Upgrading computers and adding computer network and fiber optic cabling.
Village IV
Virginia Wesleyan College will begin construction in February 2007 on its fourth residential village, adding nearly 100 beds to campus and again increasing the College's residential population. The location for the area defined as Village IV was part of the College's original master plan. The area, now covered with pine trees, is located roughly between Brock Village and Blocker Hall, near the area for the proposed green science building. The Village IV townhomes are anticipated to open in the spring of 2008. Once opened, the residential capacity on campus will be nearly 800 residents.
Village IV will include six buildings with four townhouses per building for a total of ninety-six beds. Each townhouse will have four bedrooms, two baths, one kitchen, one living room and one laundry area with a washer and dryer. Kitchens will be equipped with refrigerators, dishwashers, ovens, cook tops, disposals and microwaves. Each of the four townhouses will have a minimum of one handicapped unit.
