Transfer students are considered for one of the following scholarship opportunities after acceptance:

Associate's Grant

• $12,000 to $14,000 per year
• Requires Associate's Degree with a 3.5 or higher GPA
• Renewable for up to 3 additional semesters

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

• $11,000 to $13,000 per year
• Requires 24 or more semester hours with a 3.5 or higher GPA and good standing membership in PTK
• Renewable for up to 5 additional semesters (depending on the number of transferable credits)

Transfer Scholarship

• $5,000 to $10,000 per year
• Requires 24 or more semester hours with a 2.5 or higher GPA
• Renewable for up to 5 additional semesters (depending on the number of transferable credits)

Deadlines for scholarships

For Fall applicants

Admission and scholarship decisions are made on a rolling basis.  The preferred application submission date is at least two weeks prior to the start of the term.  The fall 2012 semester begins on August 27th.

For Spring applicants

Admission and scholarship decisions are made on a rolling basis.  The preferred application submission date is at least two weeks prior to the start of the term.  The spring 2012 semester begins on January 30th.

In addition, students are encouraged to apply for Federal Financial Aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Residents of the state of Virginia may qualify for the Tuition Assistance Grant (TAG).
