Alphonso Garrett is a 2006 graduate of Old Dominion University. While at ODU he majored in Communication and worked in a variety of roles within the Office of Admissions. His experience in Admissions allowed him to represent the university by giving tours, meeting with prospective students, and visiting local high schools and places of employment. Following graduation, his Army National Guard unit was activated for a deployment to Kosovo where he served as a Signal Operations Noncommissioned Officer. Upon returning to the United States, he continued to work in a higher education setting at a technical college before joining the Virginia Wesleyan family in July 2008. He will be assisting new students from Maryland, New Jersey, and the Eastern Shore of Virginia. In his spare time you can catch him spending time with his wife, watching movies, or serving on the Multimedia Team at his church.
