- Junior year of high school: Get on college mailing lists and visit several college campuses.
- August - December of senior year: Apply!
- October 16, 2009: Deadline for the November 6, 2009 Wesleyan Scholarship Competition
- December 18, 2009: Priority Deadline for the February and March 2010 Wesleyan Scholarship Competitions
- January 22, 2010: Final Deadline for the February and March Scholarship Competitions
- January 1 of senior year: Begin filing the FAFSA (Free Application For Federal Student Aid) Form
- March 15, 2010: VWC's General Academic Scholarship Deadline
- March or April: Participate in an Admitted Student Day (information will be available after the first of the new year)
- April: Begin to make final college decision
- May 1, 2010: National Deposit Deadline for college acceptance
