Congratulations on your admission to Virginia Wesleyan College! With record-breaking applications and our largest class in history last year, VWC is a place on the move.
To date, the Class of 2016 (yours!) promises to break all former records in size and quality—something you and your future classmates can take pride in.
Because many of you have asked, “what’s the next step,” we are offering the opportunity for you to reserve your space in the Class of 2016 earlier than ever before. Our deposit of $525 covers your required orientation (Scene I on either June 22 or July 9 for registration and advising and Scene II, a welcome and extended orientation prior to the start of classes); $300 toward tuition, and a reservation for campus housing. (Nearly 90 percent of our freshmen live on campus, but if you reside in Hampton Roads, you may elect to live at home.)
If you are among the first 100 students to pay your deposit, you will also be given the chance to request a housing preference.
Also important is that once you pay your deposit, you will receive your VWC email information in a letter sent to you from Dean David E. Buckingham, Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Enrollment Services. Your email will keep you in touch with announcements and information about events, payments, and general campus news. Please check this email regularly for “letters” from faculty, staff and your future classmates as well.
With our second award for 2012 as “Best in the Southeast” from the Princeton Review, there’s never been a better time to choose a VWC education, and we look forward to sharing our Marlin Pride!
