Through the Wesleyan Promise, Virginia Wesleyan College will award renewable grants to current students on the basis of academic performance, financial need, extracurricular involvement, and conduct consistent with the mission of the College.
Academic Scholarships for Freshmen
Students with a high school cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater and SAT scores of 850 and above are considered. Scholarships range from $6,000 to full comprehensive fees.

Christian Service Loan
Awarded to Virginia United Methodist Conference church members who intend to pursue employment in full-time Christian service upon graduation. To apply for the loan, submit a letter of intent
and a recommendation from your UMC minister. Loan and other VWC funding will cover up to one-half of your tuition.

Minister's Sons and Daughters Grant
Awarded to dependents of ministers who are members of the Virginia United Methodist Conference. Grant and other VWC funding will cover up to one-half tuition.
Requires completion of FAFSA. Student must show demonstrated need and be enrolled full time. Amount varies.
