Top five reasons military students choose Virginia Wesleyan

  1. Virginia Wesleyan Admissions Counselors understand the financial needs of military veterans and active duty service members and are ready to assist with the application process.
  2. The College’s Financial Aid personnel are experienced with military benefits and have a School Certifying Official (SCO) committed to helping students receive maximum benefits.
  3. Our small classes (about 13 students per class on average) make every course more meaningful and provide great opportunities for mentoring with our excellent faculty, 90 percent of whom have obtained the highest degree available in their field.
  4. Virginia Wesleyan is conveniently located in the Hampton Roads area, home to one of the nation's largest concentrations of military personnel.
  5. VWC offers Priority Registration to military students, providing eligible students first choice of courses, ensuring enrollment in classes that are needed for graduation and allowing more flexibility in scheduling. The early registration benefit also helps our SCO to more quickly process a student’s U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Enrollment Certification, leading to a more timely payment of monthly housing allowance and book stipend from the VA.

When submitting your registration and certification information please download and complete the VWC Veteran Notification of Registration Form to submit with your class schedule.
