Also pursue financial aid scholarships on the web and through your church, public school system, local businesses, grocery stores, department stores, banks, credit unions, pharmaceutical companies, national brands and companies such as Tylenol, Pepsi-Cola, Kellogg's, Wal-Marts, K-Marts, etc. Check also with local civic groups and professional organizations. Scholarships are out there, you just have to take the time to look for them and then apply!

- Must submit an essay less than 1000 words detailing a situation you have been involved in or someone you know has been involved in where better safety features would have prevented an injury. Youth Voter Awareness Scholarship

Description: There are 29 million eligible voters under the age of 24. But only 44% voted in the last election. DoSomething.org and Virgin Mobile have launched a national campaign to get everyone over the age 15 to register or preregister to vote, and make sure that the youth voice is heard
Requirements: Go to www.dosomething.org/vote and register to vote. Share a message with 5 friends on how to sign up to vote, and you'll be automatically entered to win a $4,000 scholarship. You must be under the age of 25 and a U.S citizen to be considered for this award.
