Advanced Scholars Program, Early Enrollment, and Dual Credit

Why not graduate from college sooner?

Virginia Wesleyan College can make it possible for current high school students to earn college credits by completing college-level coursework. College credit earned while still in high school can be used to complete a degree at Virginia Wesleyan and other accredited colleges and universities.

Lower the Cost of College

If you’re concerned about the cost of a college education, the Advanced Scholars Program, Early Enrollment, and Dual-Credit options at Virginia Wesleyan can offer considerable savings. By earning college credit in high school, you can reduce what you pay for your education. And you can graduate from college sooner.

We offer three options to get you started:

Get an early start on your college education! High school students who choose our Advanced Scholars program will attend college courses at Virginia Wesleyan in our classrooms alongside traditional students. You'll experience the excitement of college while earning credits toward your degree.
  2. Early college enrollment through Tidewater Collegiate Academy.

  3. College courses at your high school.
Through Virginia Wesleyan's dual-credit classes, you can complete courses and get college credit while attending classes in your own high school (subject to agreements with specific academies/high schools in the Coastal Virginia region).
