Take Five Program
If you are a public or private school teacher needing recertification courses, or, are a provisionally licensed teacher needing required VDOE courses, you qualify for the VWC “Take Five” Program, which offers a tuition reduction of 50% per class for teachers who qualify.
A copy of your active VDOE license or VDOE Provisional Letter is required for admission and registration. “Take Five” falls under "Track II" of the VWC Alternative Certification for Teachers (ACT) Program.
Registration for Summer 2013 and Fall 2013 courses begins May 6, 2013. Applications must be submitted to and processed by the VWC Adult Studies Office before acceptance and registration can proceed. Early applications are placed on a waiting list to help insure enrollment. Tuition is due at the time of registration (cash, check, money order, and TMS accepted).
