Assistant Professor of Management, Business & Economics
VIRGINIA WESLEYAN COLLEGE (VWC) invites applications for a tenure-track position as assistant professor of Management, Business & Economics beginning fall, 2014. A master’s degree in Accounting or Business is required at the time the position begins; a Ph.D. or D.B.A. is preferred.
A minimum of 18 graduate credits hours in accounting is required. The successful applicant will also hold the C.P.A. designation and professional accounting experience is highly desired. We seek a candidate with a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, student advising, and research. Teaching responsibilities will include all levels of accounting courses as well as other business courses. Candidates with the additional ability to teach information systems, international business, or economic development courses are preferred. The successful candidate is expected to establish and maintain an active undergraduate research program. The salary is competitive and an attractive benefits package is offered.
