VIRGINIA WESLEYAN COLLEGE (VWC), a small (1500 students, 92 full-time faculty), growing, selective, and diverse liberal arts institution sited on 300 beautiful wooded acres in the heart of the historical, economically dynamic, and culturally rich Virginia Beach-Norfolk-Newport News metropolitan area, seeks applications for the position of Coordinator of Clinical Experiences and Partnerships in the teacher education program. The Coordinator will be responsible to the Director of Teacher Education. The Coordinator will be responsible for developing and securing student field placements for practica and student teaching experiences in the area schools; initial student advising, collecting and analyzing data related to the teacher education program’s effectiveness; managing State of Virginia regulations for program accreditation; completing the Title 11 report among other reports; developing and sustaining partnerships with the area school systems; and other duties as assigned by the Director of Teacher Education. The Coordinator will serve as the certification officer. Applicants should have a Master’s Degree and experience in the K-12 school environment.
