Assistant to the Vice President for College Advancement
This position will provide essential administrative and event planning support to the Vice President of College Advancement and the division.
Position assists the Vice President with correspondence and communication with the College Trustees and donors, arranges fundraising appointments for the Vice President, coordinates meetings, and prepares and distributes minutes of Board Development and PR meetings. The position also maintains the Scholarship database, coordinates the mailing of letters and invitations to donors, including the Scholarship recipients mailing. Position works closely with the Asst. to the President of the College in the implementation of all activities involving Trustees, donors and key constituent groups.
The position is responsible for coordinating special events for the Division of College Advancement, including the annual Scholarship dinner, planned giving Heritage Society events, Athletic Hall of Fame, and Church Relations activities.
Qualified candidates must have five years of special event and/or office experience, preferably in a college environment. Must have proficiency with computer and numerous software packages, including spreadsheets, databases and presentation software and ability to operate general office equipment.
The candidate will be required to work well in a team environment as well as on their own. The candidate must be a self starter who possesses advanced interpersonal relationship building skills, demonstrated communications skills, and superb attention to detail. Flexible hours including some nights and weekends.
