Director of Alumni Relations
Full-time position for individual with Bachelor’s Degree and successful management, marketing and/or fundraising experience, preferably with two years experience. Successful applicant will be responsible for directing the alumni development and outreach program, which seeks to cultivate and strengthen the ties between the College and its former students. Position is responsible for management of the Alumni Association and collaboration and coordination of their programs and efforts with the Alumni Association Board of Directors. The Director works within the division of College Advancement in implementing its overall programming and in building participation, loyalty and involvement of the college’s alumni.
Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to multi-task are required. Excellent written and oral communication skills are needed. Must have ability to work well in a team-oriented environment, be able to work independently and resourcefully, and must show a high level of creativity. Successful applicant must also be able to identify issues, formulate plans of action and execute budgets to achieve established goals. Knowledge and experience with computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, Datatel, electronic communications technologies and social media required. Graduation from Virginia Wesleyan College a plus.
