Abstract

As movements concerning women’s equality gain increasing attention worldwide, more issue areas are discovered and more mechanisms are suggested as important to address when combating inequality. While determining the most effective means of ushering in equality is a complex task, it is the purpose of this project to analyze various mechanisms affecting equality and to determine which of them is the most essential. A statistical model is used to determine the impact of variables, such as quotas, laws, healthcare, and education, on equality. Political quotas for women will be the primary focus of testing, although other causes of equality will be controlled. This project contributes to the understanding of the intricate nature of gender equality and the importance of fostering women’s equity.
