Abstract
The purpose of our study was to explore the feasibility of a 24 hour convenience store on campus. Anonymous surveys distributed to selected classes support this idea. Results show that students regularly leave campus both during the day and after dining halls close to visit a convenience store, and would shop at an on-campus store if prices were the same as at other local convenience stores. More students were willing to shop at the store than work in it. We believe that this store would be safer for students, economically beneficial for Virginia Wesleyan College, create community among students and staff, and merits further investigation.
