The British Invasion and Fame: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and The Who
Abstract
The American musical era of the 1960s, typically known as the British Invasion, is defined as the arrival and subsequent success and fame of many British bands in the United States. The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and The Who are among the most notable names and culturally significant in this influx of musicians. This research project examines how their fame and how the arrival of The Beatles triggered it all and set the agenda for the remainder of the decade.
