Discrimination Based Upon First Impressions

Abstract

I am interested in studying discrimination toward racially different people based on first impressions. I will attempt to study this in the context of a job situation. The participant will be required to record their desire to have and work along with a racially different coworker based upon their first impression of the individual. In the process of conducting my research, I have realized the importance and value of having access to a wide variety of resources (e.g., books and peer reviewed journals). These give examples of how research is done, how to write a research paper, suggest possible independent variables for your study, and can even suggest areas of research.
