71 ° Fair
The Virginia Wesleyan College Marlin Safe Space Program was created to provide a ‘safe space” for members of the VWC community that have been affected by homophobia, hate, discrimination, and/or violence. The program was produced to reduce homophobia and heterosexism on our campus and therefore make it a freer more inclusive environment for all members of the VWC community regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. By placing a Safe Space sticker on their door or in their office, allies signify that their “space” is a safe place to talk and receive resources about issues that members of the campus community may have questions about. Virginia Wesleyan College Marlin Safe Space Program provides training for faculty, staff, and students who are interested in making VWC a safer place for everyone.
