Student Training for Environmental Protection

Abstract

Students participated in a summer program at Prince William Forest to enhance their effectiveness in environmental protection and leading environmental programs. Students focused on a range of topics, from organizing to event planning, to lobbying. The experience culminated in a visit to Capitol Hill to meet with senate staff members on support of the American Clean Energy and Security Act.

This single event has been one of the most empowering experiences of my life, I've already started to organize events and actually get things done!
