Corporations recognize the value of employee training and development especially in a technologically advanced and global economy. Organizations take different approaches to training. Some organizations use a classroom/training room instruction while others rely on e-learning to train employees. The method that works best depends on the organization size, structure and mission. Is the classroom/training room method of training being eliminated because it is the new form of learning, too much like teaching in schools or is it simply due to cost and the trend towards greater technology. To answers some of these questions this paper will review some of the differences between teaching and training.
