Confederate Diplomacy with Europe

Abstract

My project focuses on the diplomatic relations that the Confederacy had with European countries over cotton in order to achieve recognition as an independent nation. I came upon this topic through past American History classes and my interest of Southern culture. I have learned about the different policies and actions the Confederacy enacted in order to become independent. When I was conducting my research, I found that it is all about patience and just being able to bury yourself in books and documents.
