Abstract

The amount of parental involvement in elementary and middle schools has been researched and documented to provide students with more support and guidance in the learning process than any other technique used in schools. Students are behind simply based on any lack of parental involvement in their life. Based on extant research as well as my own interviews and surveys, lack of parental involvement in schools is a growing epidemic in schools across the nation and can be a definite hindrance to children’s academic growth.
