The Effect of Film-Induced Mood on Processing Speed

Abstract

It was hypothesized that induced positive and negative mood would affect processing speed. Mood was induced in 38 college students through film clips. After observing the film clips, participants completed the Digit Symbol task of the Wechsler Adult Intelligent Scale. Results indicated that although mood was induced, there was no significant difference in processing speed between conditions.
