The Wesleyan Singers relish the joy of singing in harmony, refining their vocal and choral technique, and being challenged by choral masterpieces for chamber vocal ensembles.
As in most liberal arts colleges, the ensemble includes students majoring in a variety of subject areas including mathematics, computer science, recreation and leisure, elementary education, and theater, as well as several who have chosen music as their life's work.
As the principal performance troupe of the College, the Singers are in constant demand as guest performers for special campus events and throughout the Hampton Roads region. Annual January tours have taken them up and down the east coast, from Key West to NYC, with concerts in such disparate venues as Walt Disney World and St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City.
The group's two CDs, The Wesleyan Singers on Tour and Live at the Hofheimer, feature a varied repertory similar to that heard in their acclaimed performances. (hear samples below)
