The Faculty Assembly of Virginia Wesleyan College
The Faculty Assembly held its first meeting in the Monumental Chapel on 2 September 1994. For more than 13 years, the Assembly had no bylaws and governed itself by the motion that created it and a series of special rules of order. The Faculty Assembly created the ad hoc Committee on the Bylaws in the fall of 2007 and ratified the current bylaws and special rules of order on 7 December 2007.
