Looking for some INTEL on the unique teaching and learning experiences
at VWC? You'll find it here at the INTEL Center.
The Center supports experiential and community-based learning beyond the walls of the traditional classroom. Our VWC "classrooms" include the local community, the Chesapeake Bay, and destinations nationally and globally. Service-learning and civic engagement are keystones of our emphasis on developing citizen scholars.
The Center facilitates professional development opportunities focused on leading pedagogies, strategies for enhanced learning, the effective integration of new technologies, and building community partnerships. Our VWC faculty excel as outstanding, creative, and student-focused teacher scholars who are active in building better communities.
Community and learning partners:
The Center works with campus resources to help provide customized, mutually beneficial collaborations that bridge academics, service, and civic engagement to meet community needs. Our VWC partnerships have received local, national and international recognition.
